HPE Networking Product End of Life information

HPE Networking may choose to discontinue products for many reasons, including offering products with enhanced features, costs or efficiencies based on new technologies. While HPE retains its discretion to change product support policies, we do endeavor to meet the needs of your business for a period of time following the last selling date of our products. Throughout the many changes in the IT industry over the past several years HPE has always remained committed to working with you to address the needs of your business. HPE Networking product life cycle milestones:

Milestones Description
End of Sale
  • The date after which a product is no longer available for purchase from Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company, its worldwide subsidiaries, affiliates, authorized resellers, or country distributors.
  • HPE will generally announce the End of Sale date for a product 3 to 6 months prior to the effective date.
Post End of Sale Support
  • HPE will continue to provide support for a product after the End of Sale date subject to the limitations provided in the Software EULA & Hardware Limited Warranty statement available at www.hpe.com/networking/warranty.
  • At HPE's sole discretion, product enhancement requests may be considered and fulfilled after the End of Sale date for a product.
End of Engineering Support
  • The date after which hardware and software engineering support will no longer be provided for a product.
  • This date is generally 5 years from the End of Sale date.1
  • For HPE products that include support for as long as you own the product, software updates that are released by HPE will continue to be available to entitled customers. However, this is not a guarantee of ongoing feature development or software maintenance by HPE. At HPE's sole discretion, product enhancement requests may be considered and fulfilled after the End of Sale date for a product.
End of Contract Availability
  • Support services for a product will be available at least until the End of Engineering Support period for a product but HPE may choose to extend support availability for business and customer reasons.2
  • This date is generally 5 years from the End of Sale date.
  • Until this date, HPE support services can be purchased for a product.
Note: Products purchased from 3Com are covered under the 3Com warranty, support and obsolescence policies as shown in the 3Com Warranty Coverage quick reference, H3C Warranty Coverage quick reference and 3Com Product Obsolescence Policy documents available at the www.hpe.com/networking/warranty page. The hardware warranty coverage and support for products purchased from 3Com with a lifetime warranty will end 5 years from the product End of Sale date.
