Manage CPGs for 3PAR iSCSI

Prerequisites 

  • HP 3PAR iSCSI storage device is registered.

Managing CPGs for 3PAR iSCSI

  1. From the Operations Console main menu, select Block Storage Devices.

  2. Select the row of the 3PAR device where you want to associate a target.

  3. From the Actions menu , select Manage CPGs.

  4. Click Add CPG.

    A list of available targets is displayed.

  5. Select one or more targets to associate with the device and click Register CPGs.

    To exit without making changes and to close the screen, click Cancel before registering CPGs.

  6. To remove the association of a target from the device, select the row of the target and click Remove CPG.

    Click Confirm Removal.

    To exit without making changes and to close the screen, click Cancel before you confirm removal.

  7. Verify that the data is correct on the Block Storage Devices overview screen.

Managing backends for 3PAR iSCSI

  1. From the Operations Console main menu, select Block Storage Devices.

  2. From the Register Storage Device button, click the down arrow and select Manage Volume Backends.

  3. From the Manage Volume Backends window, click Add Backend.

  4. Under Backend Configuration, select StoreServe iSCSI.

  5. Select the CPGs you want to associate with the backend.

  6. Identify the volume type for the backend.

    • To use an existing volume type, select Existing Volume Type, then choose the volume type from the list provided.


      [NOTE: ]

      NOTE: Volume types created in the OpenStack user portal display unfiltered in the Existing Volume Type drop down list. Do not associate a VMDK volume type with a 3PAR backend.


    • To create a new volume type, select New Volume Type, then type the name of the volume type in the field provided.

  7. Click Create backend.

  8. Verify that the data is correct on the Block Storage Devices overview screen.
