Enable Windows Multipath I/O (MPIO) feature after a Windows OS installation

Hewlett Packard Enterprise provides a script that enables the Windows Multipath I/O feature (MPIO) using PowerShell commands or ServerManagerCmd.

To create a Windows scripted installation OS Build Plan that enables MPIO after the OS installation

  1. Save a copy of the Hewlett Packard Enterprise provided Windows OS Build Plan, changing its name to reflect the Windows functionality being installed.

  2. At the end of the OS Build Plan, after the OS has been installed, add the Hewlett Packard Enterprise provided script Add Windows Multipath IO Feature.

  3. After the Add Windows Multipath IO Feature step, add a Reboot step and a Wait for HP SA Agent step with the same script parameters as the last steps in the Hewlett Packard Enterprise provided Windows OS Build Plan.
