Start a tunnel session

  1. From the main menu, click Settings.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • In the Diagnostics panel, click ..

    • Click Diagonostics and then select Actions > Edit.

  3. Click Start tunnel to initiate a tunnel connection.

    If a connection is established and the remote access service is running, Tunnel state displays Connected.

  4. Provide the Station ID to the authorized support technician.
  5. If access level is configured as Restricted, click Accept Selected to allow the HPE authorized technician to connect.
  6. After the authorized service technician has completed the necessary service on your appliance, click Stop tunnel to end a tunnel connection.
    All the active sessions and connections end and the state of the tunnel status displays Not Connected.

    Stopping a tunnel connection abruptly when an authorized technician is running a task may result in an anomaly.
