Preparing for remote support registration

  1. If you would like to enable Insight Online, and do not have a HPE Passport account, create one.

    Enter Passport and Password to optionally enable Insight Online on the HPE Support Center. HPE Insight Online provides cloud-based infrastructure management enabling you to access your IT information anytime, anywhere. Track service events and support cases, as well as, contract and warranty status for all your remote support devices, whether connected by HPE OneView remote support or Insight remote support.

  2. Set the web proxy.

  3. Collect the following information:

    • Contact information

    • Site information including address, time zone, and site name.

    • Channel Partner IDs for your authorized service provider, reseller/distributor, and installer if you want to allow them to view your device information.
