Resolve connectivity issues between the appliance and server hardware

You can manually refresh the connection between the appliance and server hardware by using the Refresh option on the Actions menu. You must refresh server hardware if it has lost connectivity or if it is not synchronized with the appliance. Connectivity loss can occur during normal appliance operation. A device can become unsynchronized if you make changes to it outside of the appliance. See About server hardware to learn more.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise does not recommend using the iLO or the OA to make changes to a device. Doing so can cause the device to become unsynchronized with the appliance.

Minimum required privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Server administrator

  1. From the main menu, select Server Hardware.
  2. In the master pane, select the server hardware you want to refresh and select Actions > Refresh.
  3. To verify that the activity is successful, check the activity for a green status in the Notifications area.

If the activity is not successful, follow the instructions in the proposed resolution.

The Refresh action starts immediately, confirmation is not required.
