Remove a rack server from management

Use this procedure to remove an HPE ProLiant rack server from management.

To remove a server blade from management, you must physically remove the server blade. See Remove a server and other components from an existing enclosure.

Removing a server from management removes its alerts, activities, and associations.

You cannot remove a server that is hosting an active server profile. You must delete the server profile from the server, and then remove the server from management.

If the appliance cannot contact the server during the remove operation, a message alerts you about manual cleanup tasks.
