Unable to verify the self-signed certificate when the certificate changes
HPE OneView is unable to establish secure connection to a remote device and generates alerts saying the device's certificate is not trusted.
The self-signed certificate on the external server has changed and is different from the one that was originally trusted by HPE OneView.
- Log in as the Infrastructure administrator.
- From the main menu, select .
- Select Add certificates and add the new certificate to the HPE OneView trust store.
- Validate the fingerprint of the device's certificate. For additional information about the fingerprint validation, see "User-verified initial trust" in the HPE OneView User Guide.
- Verify if you are able to re-establish the communication.
