Unable to verify the self-signed certificate when the certificate changes


HPE OneView is unable to establish secure connection to a remote device and generates alerts saying the device's certificate is not trusted.


The self-signed certificate on the external server has changed and is different from the one that was originally trusted by HPE OneView.

  1. Log in as the Infrastructure administrator.
  2. From the main menu, select Settings > Security > Manage Certificates.
  3. Select Add certificates and add the new certificate to the HPE OneView trust store.
  4. Validate the fingerprint of the device's certificate. For additional information about the fingerprint validation, see "User-verified initial trust" in the HPE OneView User Guide.
  5. Verify if you are able to re-establish the communication.
