Frame link module port states

MGMT Port State

MGMT port, a specific port on the frame link module used to provide network connectivity to the management LAN.

States are:

active

This MGMT port is providing network connectivity between the HPE Synergy frame and the management LAN.

standby

This MGMT port is not in use but becomes the active port for management network connectivity if there is a failover.

linked

This MGMT port is connected to an interconnect for use by an HPE Synergy appliance such as Image Streamer.

For an interconnect managed or monitored by this instance of HPE OneView, the name of the interconnect and port number display.

For an interconnect not managed or monitored by this instance of HPE OneView, the MAC address and IP address of the device display if LLDP is enabled. Otherwise, linked to external switch displays indicating the address information is not available or LLDP is disabled.

unlinked

This MGMT port is not connected.

LINK Port State

LINK port, a specific port on the frame link module used to link other HPE Synergy frames to create a managed group of HPE Synergy frames.

States are:

linked

This LINK port is connected to another frame link module within an HPE Synergy frame being managed by the same appliance.

unlinked

This LINK port is not connected.

disabled

This LINK port is connected to something other than an HPE Synergy Frame Link Module or to a frame link module that is under management by a different appliance. This indicates a cabling error. HPE OneView cannot manage the device that is connected to this port.
