Option 3: Upload hotfix and create a custom SPP

Uploading a hotfix to create a custom SPP is to be used for applying hotfix on a managed resource.

  • Privileges: Infrastructure administrator, Network administrator, or Server administrator

  • Select the hotfixes that are to be added into the custom SPP. While creating the SPP, select all the OS variants (.rpm, .exe and, .zip/.fwpkg files).

  • To enable firmware updates for Mellanox MFT components, select the following .rpm files:
    • kmod-kernel-mft-mlnx-4.8.0-1.rhel7u6.x86_64.rpm

    • mft-4.8.0-26. rhel7u6. x86_64.rpm

The version numbers might vary, but the files can be identified by the mft keyword.

  • Gen10 firmware hotfixes are released along with a signature file. Upload the corresponding signature file to use the hotfixes for creating a custom SPP.
