Reapplying the logical switch configuration to its physical switches

The Reapply action reapplies the HPE OneView configuration to all the physical switches associated with the logical switch when they are not consistent. The Reapply action is useful when the switch configuration is changed outside of the HPE OneView management. For example, if a VLAN or a port-channel associated with a downlink port is modified or removed from a physical switch in a logical switch outside of HPE OneView management, the VLAN or the port-channel can be provisioned again on the physical switches by performing the reapply action on the logical switch.

Prerequisites
Privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Network administrator
Procedure
  1. From the main menu, select NETWORKING > Logical Switches, and then select the logical switch.
  2. Select Actions > Reapply configuration.
  3. Click Yes, reapply to confirm.
  4. To verify that the activity is successful, check the activity for a green status in the Notifications area.
  5. If the switch was either unable to process the configuration request or if there is a network connectivity issue between HPE OneView and the switch, perform the following steps:
    1. First, perform the following verifications.
      1. Verify that the switch is powered on and is being managed by HPE OneView and the credentials are not changed.

      2. Verify that there are no stacking topology errors reported on the switch and there are no internal VLAN conflicts.

      3. Verify that the network connectivity issues between HPE OneView and the switch are corrected.

    2. After completing these verifications, reapply the configuration to the logical interconnect or logical switch.
    3. If the problem still persists, contact your authorized HPE support representative.
