Description

User-defined description for the volume.

Provisioning
Provisioning setting of the volume: Thin, Full.
Enable deduplication

Whether or not deduplication is enabled for the volume.

Enable compression

Whether or not compression is enabled for the volume.

Provisioned capacity

Provisioned capacity of the volume, in gibibytes (GiB).

NOTE:

GiB is an industry-standard storage term. It is a base 2 notation instead of a base 10 notation.

Allocated capacity

Total capacity allocated to the volume.

Storage system

Storage system that hosts the storage pool to which the volume belongs.

Storage pool

Storage pool to which the volume belongs.

Snapshot storage pool

Storage pool from which to provision space for storing snapshots of the storage volume.

Sharing
Sharing setting for the volume:
Private

The volume can be used by only one server profile. Can be used to boot from SAN.

Shared

The volume can be used by more than one server profile.

WWN

World Wide Name (WWN) of the volume.

RAID

RAID level of the volume: RAID0, RAID1, RAID5, or RAID6.

Storage system volume name

Name of the volume on the storage system, which may be different from the volume name on the appliance.

Used by

Number of server profiles using the volume. The number is a hyperlink to the Server Profiles screen, filtered to show the server profiles using the volume.

Lifecycle

Whether the volume lifecycle is tied to a server profile (Ephemeral) or not (Permanent).
