iLO firmware failed to update in HPE OneView


When adding an enclosure, the iLO firmware might fail to update to the minimum version due to network or power outages, or other issues. The device is listed in an Unmanaged state.

  1. From the main menu, select SERVERS > Server Hardware.
  2. In the master pane, select the unmanaged server hardware.
  3. Select Actions > Update iLO firmware.

    You will only see "Update iLO firmware" if the iLO firmware is below the minimum required and the server hardware is listed in an Unmanaged Unsupported Firmware state.

  4. Click OK.
  5. To verify that the activity is successful, check the activity for a green status in the Notifications area.

    If the activity is not successful, follow the instructions in the proposed resolution.
