Add/Edit Directory Group screen details

Screen component



The name of the directory service that authenticates logins.

Group name

The name of the group to be added.

Select group

Opens a dialog box that lets you log into the Directory service server and locate the group.

User name



The credentials of the authentication directory service administrator account that enable the appliance to log in to the directory server and validate the connection.


Permissions grant the user the right to view, monitor or manage resources, either physical or virtual.

Role: A list of user roles to assign to a group.

Scope: A list of scopes to associate with the group.

To view what resources are associated with each scope, navigate to the Scopes page screen details. If scopes are not listed, then you must first Create a scope.

Default: All resources

Used when you do not want to restrict permissions by scope for the group.
