Configurations that are updated by the hypervisor cluster profile

Configurations that can be modified

You can modify the following template configurations, which can be updated to the cluster or cluster members using the hypervisor cluster profile:

  • Physical server configurations defined in the server profile template such as firmware, OS deployment settings, connections, SAN storage, BIOS settings, boot settings, and iLO settings.

  • Networks defined in the network set.

  • Hypervisor cluster configurations defined in the hypervisor cluster profile such as cluster name, vSphere high-availability enabled or disabled, VMware vSphere DRS (Distributed Resource Scheduler) enabled or disabled.

  • Hypervisor configurations defined in the hypervisor cluster profile such as hypervisor networking and hypervisor storage configurations.

Configuration changes that need manual remediation

The following configuration changes cannot be remediated by the hypervisor cluster profile nondisruptive update. To resolve these inconsistencies, you must perform the manual instructions that are listed in the inconsistency alerts.

  • Server hardware type in the server profile template.

  • Enclosure Group in the server profile template.
