Description

Remote connection

These fields display when the downlink port is connected to an Ethernet network.

Type

Port type for remote connection, can be Ethernet, External, or Unknown.

Port type

Port type of the remote connection. For example, Local, Ethernet, or Unknown.

Port ID

Description of the server port. For example, Bay 1, Mezzanine Slot 3, Port 1

Port description

Detailed description of the port type.

Address type

Description of the type of address displayed.

Address

IP address of the interconnect to which the downlink port is connected.

System name

Symbolic name of the device set by the network administrator.

System description

Vendor-generated description of the device.

System capabilities

Configuration of the port on the device, can be bridge, trunk, bridge and trunk, or bridge, router.

Statistics

These fields display when a downlink port is on an interconnect that supports statistical data collection.

Port statistics data is refreshed at the same frequency as the interval between samples, which you can set using the Utilization Sampling settings on the Logical Interconnects or the Logical Interconnect Groups screen.

Transmitted errors

Number of errors that the port has transmitted since the connection was established or the last time the port counters were cleared.

Received errors

Number of errors that the port has received since the connection was established or the last time the port counters were cleared.

Bit Transfer Rate graph

Displays the bit transfer rate (transmitted and received) of the downlink port over time, and the average bit transfer rate.

You can change the sample collection rate using the Utilization Sampling settings on the Logical Interconnects or the Logical Interconnect Groups screen.

Packet Transfer Rate graph

Displays the packet transfer rate (transmitted and received) of the downlink port over time, and the average packet transfer rate.

You can change the sample collection rate using the Utilization Sampling settings on the Logical Interconnects or the Logical Interconnect Groups screen.
