This task description assumes that a physical network is already connected to the target storage system, and that the network and the storage system can be discovered by HPE OneView.

Prerequisites

Privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Server administrator

Procedure
  1. From the main menu, select SERVERS > Server Profile Templates, and then create a new or edit an existing server profile template.
  2. In the Connections panel of the server profile template, confirm that network connections are associated with a SAN storage system managed within HPE OneView.
  3. To set profile consistency checking, select Manage connections.

Select a Consistency checking option from the drop-down menu.

  4. In the SAN Storage panel, select the Manage SAN Storage check box.
  5. Select the Host OS type so that SAN volume attachments are fully utilized.
  6. Click Add Volume.
  7. Enter the properties for the volume, including volume attachment configuration (authentication and storage paths) and target ports.

  10. Verify in the details pane that your changes appear.
