Configure automatic remote backups

Folder name

While providing the name of the folder on the host, if the text field is blank, the default SCP/SFTP folder (the home holder or directory) is used to store the backup file. Name the folder using only data types such as alphanumeric characters, underscore (_), and hyphen (-). Do not use forward slash (/) or space in the folder name.

Prerequisites
  • Privileges: Infrastructure administrator, Backup administrator

  • User account on a remote computer and the credentials for that account.

Procedure
  1. From the main menu, select Settings and do one of the following:
    1. In the Backup panel, click ..
    2. Click Backup, and then select Actions > Edit backup.
  2. Enter the data requested on the Edit Backup Settings screen.
    NOTE:

    Some fields are hidden or revealed according to selections.

    When scheduling an automatic remote backup, enter the Time as two numeric values separated by a colon.

  3. Click OK.
  4. Verify the success of the configuration by monitoring the progress of the test backup file that is generated and transmitted.
