Add a SAN volume to a server profile

Attaching a volume to a server profile gives the server hardware assigned to the server profile access to storage space on a storage system.

Prerequisites
  • Privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Server administrator

Procedure
  1. From the main menu, select SERVERS > Server Profiles, and then start to create a new or edit an existing server profile.
  2. In the SAN Storage panel, select the Manage SAN Storage check box.
  3. Select the Host OS type.
  4. Click Add Volume.
  5. Enter the properties for the volume, including storage paths and target ports.
  6. Click Add, or click Add + to add another volume.
  7. When you are finished entering server profile settings, click OK.
  8. Verify that your changes appear in the details pane.
