HPE Synergy Composer2 iLO settings

During the configuration of HPE Synergy Composer2 for iLO remote access, HPE OneView stores iLO settings and serial numbers for the Composer2. Storing the settings allows uninterrupted remote access to the appliance in the following scenarios:

  • While restoring the Composer2 appliance from an HPE OneView backup.

  • After removing and reinserting a Composer2 appliance from an enclosure.

  • After a service repair, such as a system board replacement.

  • After a factory reset.

  • During a reimage performed using iLO.

HPE OneView requires that you update the iLO password in the following scenarios:

  • After reimaging Composer2.

  • If you configure Composer2 for iLO remote access and move the appliance to a different enclosure.
