Create a server profile with user-specified identifiers for a Fibre Channel connection

You can specify the WWPN, WWNN, and MAC address when creating a Fibre Channel connection, either when you create or edit the server profile. You must provide these three values. You cannot change the values after you create the connection.

Procedure
  1. Create a server profile as normal.
  2. On the Add Connection screen, select Fibre Channel as the device type, and select the user-specified IDs option.
  3. Enter the following values for each box:
    • WWPN: Any virtual WWN not currently in use.

    • WWNN: Any WWN not currently in use, for example, the WWPn value ±1.

    • MAC address: Any virtual MAC address not in use.

  4. Verify your changes appear in the details pane.
