Allow local logins

After enabling integration with an Enterprise directory, as a security feature, local logins can be disabled. Use this procedure to reinstate local logins if they have been previously disabled. The Local login on the Security/Edit Security screen allows you to enable or disable the configured local users to log in to the appliance. On disabling local users, logging in requires a directory service for authenticating logins.

If a directory is inaccessible in some special cases, you can enable the emergency local login. See Enable emergency local login.

Prerequisites

Privileges: Infrastructure administrator.

Procedure
  1. From the main menu, select Settings and click Security.
  2. Click the Edit icon in the Security panel or select Actions > Edit.
  3. On the Edit Security screen, under Authentication, enable Local login.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Verify the setting by logging in to the appliance with a local user account.
