Edit network configuration settings

You can edit a network to change any of its settings except Type, Fabric type, and VLAN ID. For example, you can edit the maximum bandwidth or the preferred bandwidth to meet application bandwidth requirements. You can request lower bandwidths for network connections used for management ports, and higher bandwidths for network connections used as disk backup ports.

IMPORTANT:

When you edit a network:

  • Changes you make can affect network traffic.

  • Changes you make to network settings that are not overridden by a server profile take effect as soon as you apply them.

  • The appliance reports changes you make to networks through notifications and the Activity sidebar.
