Reset the iLO

Reset the iLO when theiLO is slow to respond.

Using the reset option does not make any configuration changes, but ends all active connections to theiLO firmware.

While the iLO is resetting, iLO communication is lost temporarily and all active connections to the iLO are ended.

NOTE:

You cannot update firmware, apply server profiles, or perform an iLO reset at the same time.

  • When the Synergy management appliance is running a firmware update or applying a profile, you cannot perform an iLO reset.

  • When the iLO reset is in progress, you will not be able to update firmware or apply a server profile.

Prerequisites

Privileges:Infrastructure administrator, Server administrator

Procedure
  1. From the main menu, select SERVERS > Server Hardware.
  2. Select Actions > Reset iLO.
  3. Review the confirmation message, and then click Yes, reset to reset the iLO.
  4. To verify that the action is successful, check the activity for a green status in the Notifications area area.

    You can also verify by logging into the iLO to see if it is responsive.
