Use this task to obtain serial output log data if physical access to the server is not available. If you are using a PCIe Expansion Card, you can enable debug collection from the card.
Procedure

During POST press
F9 to enter
System Utilities.

From the System Utilities screen, select

Set the debug level.
- Select
UEFI Serial Debug Level.
- Select
Medium Verbosity.

If you are using an expansion card, enable debug data collection from the expansion card:
- Select
POST Verbose Boot Progress.
- Select either
Serial Only or
All.

Save and exit System Utilities.

Open an iLO Virtual Serial Port (VSP) session.

Use a utility, such as PuTTY, to establish the connection and ensure that you enable logging to a file (select
All session output).
