Use the
Intel DMI Link Frequency option to force the link speed between the processor and south bridge to run at slower speeds. Doing so can reduce power consumption, but can also impact system performance.
NOTE:
You can configure this option on systems with two or more CPUs.
Procedure
From the
System Utilities screen, select
System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > Power and Performance Options > Intel DMI Link Frequency.
