During OS installation you can deploy StoreVirtual VSA, which enables you to create fully featured shared storage on a virtualized server. The StoreVirtual VSA software is a virtual machine that supports hypervisor environments. VSA provides shared storage for both VMware ESX / ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V hypervisor environments. When deploying VSA, you can retrieve your free 1 TB license key and activate it.
The deployment of StoreVirtual VSA is supported only during recommended and custom installations for Windows, and only during custom installations for VMware. It is not supported during manual installation.
The server must be connected to a network to deploy StoreVirtual VSA.
StoreVirtual VSA is supported with vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V on the following operating systems:
VMware ESXi 5.5 Update 3, ESXi 5.1 Update 3, vSphere 6.0 Update 2
Microsoft Windows Server 2012
Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2
