Controller State: The array controller contains a volume that was created with a different version of controller firmware

Symptom

Controller State: The array controller contains a volume that was created with a different version of controller firmware and is not backward-compatible with the current version of firmware. You may reconfigure the controller, but the existing configuration and data will be overwritten and potentially lost.

Cause

The volume was created with a version of the controller firmware that is not backward-compatible with the current version.

Action
  1. Upgrade the controller to the latest firmware.
For more information, see "Keeping the system current" in the HPE ProLiant Gen9 Troubleshooting Guide, Volume I on the Hewlett Packard Enterprise website.
  2. If the issue persists, move the configured arrays back to the original controller.
