1003 - VCM-OA communication down
Severity: CRITICAL
Description: The communication between the VC management application and the active Onboard Administrator has been interrupted.
Possible causes:
- An error has occurred during the execution of a SOAP call from the VC management application to the Onboard Administrator. Specific known causes are:
- OA reboot (including firmware update)
- Network disconnect
- OA no longer in VC mode
- OA replaced
- Management network overloaded with data traffic
- OA errors
- Hardware failures
- Rogue DHCP server
- The VC management application has detected that the OA firmware version is below the acceptable limit.
Action: Do the following if the communications failure is persistent:
- Update the OA firmware if required.
- Provide appropriate OA credentials (IP/user/password) if requested by VC.
- Verify OA and VC have been assigned IP addresses and that the IP addresses do not conflict with other assignments on the network.
- Verify that management network is not being used for substantial data traffic.
- Verify that management network topology is correct.
- Verify end-to-end connectivity.
- Make sure OA version is appropriate.
- Export a support package from VC for Hewlett Packard Enterprise analysis.
- Capture the output of the OA
