HPE Synergy Frame Link Module and HPE Synergy 4-Port Frame Link Module
The HPE Synergy Frame Link Module and the HPE Synergy 4-Port Frame Link Module are components that install in the rear of the frame. A HPE Synergy Frame Link Module and a HPE Synergy 4-Port Frame Link Module cannot be installed in the same frame.
The frame link module:
Controls and monitors the thermal and power infrastructure resources in an HPE Synergy 12000 Frame.
Monitors and reports health status of the frame, and each installed component, to the HPE Synergy Console and HPE OneView.
Validates compatibility and enables connectivity between mezzanine adapters installed in compute modules and interconnect modules installed in frame.
Performs auto-discovery of installed frame components including the collection and reporting of asset and inventory information to HPE OneView.
Links frames together to create a management ring (frame link topology) and autonomously manages redundant connectivity to and around the management ring (frame link topology).
Provides out-of-band management interface to HPE OneView for configuration and management of interconnect modules.
Hosts the HPE Synergy Console user interface which is used to assist in initial frame setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
