Symptom

A drive failure is imminent for the drive in drive bay X. The drive has exceeded a threshold value for one of its predictive indicators.

Followed by either:

  • The drive is part of logical JBOD Y.

  • The drive is part of logical JBOD Y and is being used by server profile Z.

Action
  1. Remove and reinstall drive.
  2. If the issue persists, do one of the following:
    • Replace the drive.

    • Remove the logical JBOD.

  3. Check the drive status and volume integrity by using the Smart Storage Administrator.
    • If this drive is part of a non-fault-tolerant configuration, back up all data before replacing the drive, and then restore all data.
    • If this drive is part of a fault-tolerant configuration, do not replace this drive unless all other drives in the volume are online.
