Viewing and downloading 3PAR and VSA storage device configuration

Viewing and downloading configuration

  1. From the Operations Console main menu, select Block Storage Devices.

  2. Select the row of the device where you want to view or download the configuration file.

  3. From the Actions menu , click View Config.

    A text file containing configuration details of the block storage device is displayed in the center of the screen.

  4. Optional: Click Download Config to save the file.

  5. Click Cancel to return to the Block Storage Devices screen.

Editing block storage device connections

  1. From the Operations Console main menu, select Block Storage Devices.

  2. Select the row of the device you want to edit.

  3. From the Actions menu , select Edit.

  4. Update the device information.

  5. To apply the changes to the device, click Update.

    To exit without making changes and to close the screen, click Cancel before updating.

  6. Verify that the data is correct on the Block Storage Devices overview screen.

Unregistering a 3PAR or VSA block storage device

Prerequisites 

Unregister a 3PAR or VSA block storage device


[IMPORTANT: ]

IMPORTANT: Before you unregister a backend, make sure there are no volumes attached. Use the OpenStack user portal to view AdminSystemVolumes.

  • Find the Type for each volume

  • Click the Volume Types tab and view the Extra Specs for each Volume Type to find associated backends

  • If the backend you want to delete is associated to a volume, move any existing instances off the volume and delete the volume before unregistering the backend.




  1. From the Operations Console main menu, select Block Storage Devices.

  2. Select the row of the device you want to remove.

  3. Select Unregister Backends.

  4. Select or clear checked resources in the table.

  5. Click Unregister.

    To exit the action without removing the device and to close the screen, click Cancel before unregistering.

  6. Verify that the device was removed from the Block Storage Devices overview screen.
