HP CloudSystem allows you to prepare cloud resources and deploy virtual machine instances to the cloud. In Foundation, the CloudSystem Console manages the initial preparations for deployment. These include creating images, establishing a Provider network, and configuring block storage drivers. The CloudSystem Portal controls the deployment side. This includes managing instance security, attaching volume, and launching virtual machine instances.
When new instances are created in Enterprise, they are visible in the CloudSystem Portal. You should never modify Enterprise instances from the CloudSystem Portal.
To install CloudSystem Enterprise, select the Enterprise screen on the main menu in the CloudSystem Console and click Install CloudSystem Enterprise. After installation, the Enterprise screen in the CloudSystem Console provides links to HP Cloud Service Automation and the Marketplace Portal. You will continue to use the Foundation platform to perform appliance management tasks after Enterprise is installed.
