Screen component Description

Login name

User's unique identifier name. The login name must start with an alphabetic character and can contain only alphanumeric characters and the underscore (_) and dash (-) characters.

Data type:

A maximum of 39 characters

Full name

First and last name of the user

Data type:

A maximum of 39 characters

Full name can contain only letters, digits, and space, underscore (_) and dash (-) characters.

Initial password

User's password

Data type:

A minimum of 8 characters, maximum of 40 characters

The password must not contain any of the following characters: less than (<), greater than (>), semicolon (;), comma (,), double-quotation mark ("), apostrophe ('), ampersand (&), backslash (\), slash (/), vertical bar (|), plus sign (+), colon (:), equal sign (=), and space

Role

Privileges assigned to the user

Email

Email address of the user

Data type:

The local name and the domain name must not exceed 64 characters.

The local name, to the left of the at sign (@), must begin with an alphanumeric character and consist of uppercase and lowercase alphabetic characters, numeric characters, exclamation point (!), pound sign (#), dollar sign ($), percent sign (%), ampersand (&), apostrophe ('), asterisk (*), plus sign (+), hyphen (-), slash (/), equal sign (=), question mark (?), caret (^), underscore (_), backquote (`), left and right braces ({ }), vertical bar (|), period (.), and tilde (~).

The domain name consists of alphanumeric characters, period (.), and hyphen (-). Alphabetic characters are case insensitive.

Office phone

Office phone number of the user

Data type:

A maximum of 25 alphanumeric characters. The phone number should not contain any of the following: quotes ("), apostrophe ('), ampersand (&), equal sign (=), left angle bracket (<), or right angle bracket (>).

Mobile phone

Mobile phone number of the user

Description

Directory

The name of the directory service that authenticates logins

You might be required to log in to an account on the authentication directory service.

User name and Password

Enter the credentials of the authentication directory service administrator account to enable the appliance to log in to the directory server and validate the connection.


	NOTE: The user name and password are not saved on the appliance.

Connect

Use this button to log in to the authentication directory service using the credentials you entered.

Group name

Select the name of the directory service group account from the menu.

These group accounts are defined in the directory service account.

Role

Select the appropriate radio button to assign privileges to each user in the group. For a description of the roles, see About user roles.
