Create a Linux scripted installation OS Build Plan for a localized distribution

  1. Save a copy of the HP-provided Create Red Hat xxxx Default KS.cfg (or SUSE) configuration file where xxxx is the Red Hat Linux version. Change its name to better reflect the language to be installed.

  2. Edit the script. Change the necessary fields to align with the locale and language. As an example for Red Hat, change lang, langsupport, keyboard, timezone, and add the appropriate package. As an example for SUSE, change language, keyboard/keymap, and timezone.

  3. Save a copy of the HP-provided Linux OS Build Plan, changing its name to better reflect the language to be installed.

  4. Edit the Build Plan copy.

  5. Select for the Create Red Hat xxxx Default KS.cfg (or SUSE file) step to be replaced.

  6. Select the new configuration file you created to replace the default file. Any parameters associated with the original configuration file are preserved.
