IPMI usage |
The Linux IPMI tool is used in environments where scripting is used as the base for platform monitoring. The Linux IPMI tool requires the IPMI drivers (delivered in the distribution) to be enabled if using the host-based interface. The IPMI device drivers are not typically enabled to automatically start when the Linux operating system is started.
The following virtual controllers make up the virtual topology of the Moonshot iLO Chassis Management Firmware which can be monitored through IPMI:
Virtual Zone Management Controller
Virtual Chassis Management Controller
Virtual Power Supply Management Controllers
Virtual Cartridge Management Controllers
Virtual System Node Management Controllers
