Installing a DIMM

1. Power down the server.
2. Remove all power:
   1. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
   2. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Place the server on its side.
4. Remove the access panel.
5. If installed, remove the PCI air baffle.
6. Remove the system air baffle.
7. Open the DIMM slot latches.
8. Install the DIMM.

   

9. Install the system air baffle.
10. If removed, install the PCI air baffle.
11. Install the access panel.
12. Return the server to an upright position.
13. Connect each power cord to the server.
14. Connect each power cord to the power source.
15. Power up the server.

After installing the DIMMs, use BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) in the UEFI System Utilities to configure the memory protection mode.
