Edit a user account

As an Infrastructure administrator, you can edit any local user account.

As a local user with Read only or specialized privileges, you can edit your own account only.

Edit a local user account (as Infrastructure administrator)

You can edit a local user account to:

  • Reset a user password.

  • Change the role assigned to a user.

  • Change a user's contact information.

Prerequisites 

  • Minimum required privileges: Infrastructure administrator

Editing a local user account (as Infrastructure administrator)

  1. From the main menu, select Users and Groups.

  2. Select the user account you want to edit.

  3. Select ActionsEdit to change the user account settings. See Add or Edit User screen details if you need assistance with your entries.

  4. Click OK.

Edit your local user account

You can edit your own local user account to:

  • Reset your password.

  • Change your contact information.


[NOTE: ]

NOTE: You cannot change your login name or assign yourself privileges. Only the Infrastructure administrator can do that for you.

Editing your local user account

  1. From the main menu, select Users and Groups.

  2. Select your user account.

  3. Select ActionsEdit to change the user account settings.

  4. Edit the data requested on the Edit account screen. See Add or Edit User screen details if you need assistance with your entries.

  5. Click OK.
