About Intelligent Provisioning

Intelligent Provisioning is an essential single-server deployment tool already installed, or embedded, in your HPE ProLiant server that makes it easier to set up.
  • Intelligent Provisioning helps you install an operating system by preparing the system for an installation of:

    • Microsoft Windows Server

    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux

    • SuSE Linux Enterprise Server

    • VMware ESXi/vSphere

    Not all versions of an OS are supported. For information about specific versions of a supported operating system, see the OS Support Matrix on the Hewlett Packard Enterprise website (http://www.hpe.com/info/ossupport).

  • Intelligent Provisioning automatically handles HPE ProLiant server support software from Service Pack for ProLiant. An SPP is the installation package for bundles of HPE ProLiant software and firmware updates.

  • Intelligent Provisioning gives you quick access to maintenance-related tasks from the main menu.
