Symptom

A problem occurred while retrieving the network adapter information in server hardware X.

This alert was updated in HPE OneView 5.2.

Action

Do the following, one at a time, until the issue is resolved:

  1. Verify that any adapters in the server are properly installed and configured.

    To confirm that all adapters are supported in this server, consult the HPE OneView Support Matrix for HPE Synergy on the Hewlett Packard Enterprise website (https://www.hpe.com/info/synergy-docs).

  2. Refresh the server.
  3. Log in to the iLO, and verify that the adapters appear in the Device Inventory tab of the System Information page.
  4. Reset the iLO using the server hardware iLO management interface, and then wait two minutes for the iLO reset to complete.
  5. Update the adapter firmware if it is not up-to-date.
    • If the server hardware is not in Unmanaged state, update the adapter firmware using HPE OneView.

    • Otherwise, boot into the Service Pack for ProLiant (firmware bundle) that is part of the HPE Synergy software release and update the firmware using Smart Update Manager (SUM).

  6. Remove and then reinstall the adapter.
