ActionDo the following, one at a time, until the issue is resolved:

Verify that a processor is installed in the socket required to support the adapter.

If applicable, either add a processor or remove the adapter in X.

Update the adapter firmware if it is not up-to-date.
If the server hardware is not in Unmanaged state, update the adapter firmware using HPE OneView.
Otherwise, boot into the Service Pack for ProLiant (firmware bundle) that is part of the HPE Synergy software release and update the firmware using Smart Update Manager (SUM).

Remove and then reinstall the adapter.

For iLO5-based servers, verify if iLO MCTP Discovery is disabled for the server or specific adapter mezzanine port:
- Click
System Information in the navigation tree, and then click the
Device Inventory tab.
- Click
Discovery.
- If disabled,
MCTP Factory Reset.
- Click
Yes.

Replace the adapter.
