The adapter cannot communicate with the appliance

Symptom

The adapter in X cannot communicate with the appliance due to a data exchange problem.

This alert was updated in HPE OneView 5.2.

Action

Do the following, one at a time, until the issue is resolved:

  1. Retry the operation.
  2. Update the adapter firmware if it is not up-to-date.

    • If the server hardware is not in Unmanaged state, update the adapter firmware using HPE OneView.

    • Otherwise, boot into the Service Pack for ProLiant (firmware bundle) that is part of the HPE Synergy software release and update the firmware using Smart Update Manager (SUM).

  3. Remove and then reinstall the adapter.
  4. If the issue persists, contact a support specialist and provide them with a support dump file.
