OneView did not get a response

Symptom

OneView did not get a response back from the Smart Update Tools running within the SPP boot environment. The operation timed out.

This alert was updated in HPE OneView 4.2.

Action
  1. Verify that the SPP selected is bootable.
  2. Verify that the iLO network connectivity is healthy by viewing the server hardware page.

    If there are any active alerts in the server hardware activity page, follow the recommended resolutions to clear the alerts.

  3. The iLO virtual media is used to boot into the SPP boot environment. Verify that the virtual media port has not been blocked by a firewall.

    The iLO virtual media port number can be obtained from the iLO web UI.

  4. Reboot the server.
  5. Press F9 during POST to enter the system utilities, and verify that the USB controls are enabled.
  6. Retry the operation.
  7. If the issue persists, contact a support specialist and provide them with the following information:
    • Support dump file

    • AHS logs collected from the iLO
