Updating firmware using IPMItool

Prerequisites

IPMItool. If this tool is not yet installed, download it from the Sourceforge website (https://sourceforge.net/projects/ipmitool).
Latest server firmware image bundle from the HPE Apollo 70 System support page (https://www.hpe.com/support/apollo70).
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.5 (or later) or SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP3 (or later).

Procedure

Extract the firmware image bundle.
To open a Linux terminal at the saved location, click Applications > Terminal.
Enter the command to update the firmware.
For command information, see the README file located in the folder with the extracted image bundle.
Reboot the server.
A reboot is required after the firmware update to enable the updates and maintain hardware stability.
