Preparing the server for diagnosis

Prerequisites

Verify that the appropriate software is installed on the server.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends that you access the server documentation in the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Information Library.

Procedure

Verify that the server is in the proper operating environment with adequate power, air conditioning, and humidity control.
For the required environmental conditions, see the server user guide in the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Information Library.
Record all error messages displayed by the system.
Remove all CDs, DVD-ROMs, USB drive keys, or SD cards that are not bootable devices.
