Removing and replacing a rear serial port interface (primary/secondary)

Procedure

Power down the server (Power down the server).
Remove all power:
1. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
2. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
Do one of the following:
- Extend the server from the rack (Extend the server from the rack).
- Remove the server from the rack (Remove the server from the rack).
Remove the access panel (Remove the access panel).
Using a T-10 Torx screwdriver, remove the screws securing the serial port. Then, disconnect and remove the serial cable.

To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
