Removing and replacing the Pensando DSP DSC-25 2p SFP28 card

IMPORTANT:

Before beginning this procedure, follow the warnings and cautions.

Prerequisites

Before you perform this procedure, make sure that you have the following items available:

  • The components included with the hardware option kit

  • T-15 Torx screwdriver

Procedure
  1. If installed, remove the bezel.
  2. Power down the server.
  3. Remove all power:
    1. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
    2. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
  4. Do one of the following:
  5. Remove the access panel.
  6. If the Pensando DSP iLO Sideband ALOM Module is installed, disconnect the auxiliary cable from the DSC-25 card.

  7. If replacing the DSC-25 card on the primary riser board, remove the primary riser cage.
  8. Remove the DSC-25 card.

To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
