Redundant fan option kit

The redundant fan option kit contains the redundant system and PCI fans. Mixed default fan + redundant fan configuration in the same server is not supported.

Redundant fan mode is required to meet the system thermal requirements under the following conditions:

• Server with the following options installed:

  • SFF hot-plug SAS SSD

  • SFF hot-plug SAS drives in box 2

• The ambient temperature reaches 35°C (95°F) to 40°C (104°F).
