Disabling the HPE Smart Array S100i Controller

Before changing the boot mode to Legacy BIOS Mode, you must first disable the HPE Smart Array S100i Controller.

NOTE:

When you use the software to update, maintain, or monitor the HPE Apollo 4200 Gen10 system, you will see HPE ProLiant XL420 Gen10 Server as the product name in the interface.

Procedure
  1. Reboot the system.

    The system restarts and the POST screen appears.

  2. Press F9.

    The System Utilities screen appears.

  3. Select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > System Options > SATA Controller Options > Embedded SATA Configuration, and then press Enter.
  4. Select Enable SATA AHCI Support, and then press Enter.
  5. To save the selection, press F10.
  6. To save the changes, press Y.

    The Change saved confirmation prompt appears.

  7. Select Exit and resume system boot, and press Enter.

    The system continues the normal boot process.
