Installing a hot-plug SAS or SATA drive

Prerequisites

If rear 2-SFF drives are installed, review Fan population guidelines to make sure that the server has adequate fans installed.

Procedure
  1. If installed, remove the front bezel.
  2. Remove the drive blank.

  3. Prepare the drive.

  4. Install the drive.

  5. If removed, install the front bezel.
  6. Determine the status of the drive from the drive LED definitions.

The installation is complete.
